Membership FAQs
When does membership renew?
The HLA membership year runs June 1 through May 31, with renewals each June 1.
Which membership tier am I eligible for?
General Member is for licensed attorneys over 5 years; Young Lawyer for attorneys licensed 5 years or less; Associate Member for law school graduates not yet licensed; and Law Student for matriculated students of an accredited law school. Pre-Law Student, Auxiliary (non-attorney supporters), and Lifetime (attorneys licensed 20+ years) options are also available.
Do I need to be a member to appear in the Attorney Directory?
Yes. Your HLA membership must be current to be included in the attorney directory.
