Accessibility Statement

The Houston Lawyers Association is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Equal access is consistent with our mission, and we treat it as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project.

Standard we aim for

This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In practice that means we design for readable color contrast, keyboard access to every interactive element, visible focus indicators, meaningful alternative text on images, correct heading structure, labelled form fields, and respect for reduced-motion preferences.

Known limitations

Some material on this site originates elsewhere and may not yet meet the same standard. This includes older event flyers and graphics carried over from our previous website, documents provided by third parties, and content on external sites we link to, which we do not control. We are working through this material as the site grows.

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter any part of this site you cannot access, or you need information from it in a different format, please contact us at info@houstonlawyersassociation.org and tell us the page and what happened. We will respond and provide the information you need through another means while we correct the underlying issue.

Feedback about accessibility on this site is genuinely welcome and helps us improve it for everyone.
